Today, I'm presenting you a gouache artwork of a portal to a mysterious forest!

This gouache painting is a recreation of an original digital painting I created some time ago, using only a graphics tablet. I still feel kind of intimidated by the magic of gouache paint, and, therefore, I felt more confident drawing something that I had already studied and that was more familiar.

Firstly, I painted the portal wall. I had to paint a lot of stones, really, really a lot of stones, but I enjoyed this repetitive task that allowed me to better understand how to use these paints. As, at the time I was painting, Halloween was just around the corner, I decorated the wall with two black cats and a spider.
