To draw a witch surrounded by black cats I started with this initial sketch where I focused on the face, the hat position and the placement of the cats. The whole sketch is very loose because I'm not sure where each element will be.

Then I drew this more refined and clear drawing.

And finally I colored with pencils for the end result.
